1975年、フランス・ナンシーにて開催されたJazz Pulsations FestivalでのFreddie Kingによる爆発的なライブ録音が初のレコード化！これまで未発表であったこのライブパフォーマンスは、テキサスブルースの伝説がそのキャリアの頂点に達していた時期を克明に捉えた。ブルースを軸に、ファンク、ソウルの熱気を溢れるグルーヴを力強く畳みかけ、バックバンドの切れ味鋭い演奏に乗せて、灼けつくギター・トーンと圧巻のヴォーカルで会場を揺さぶっている。

このライブパフォーマンスは長らくフランス国立視聴覚研究所（INA）に保管されていたが、一般公開は今回が初となる。INA所蔵のオリジナルマスターテープから直接データ化した音源をThe Mastering Labのマシュー・ルッサンズがマスタリング。あらゆる音が生々しく立ち上がる、驚くほどの高音質が実現されている。
フェスティバル当日の希少な未公開写真と書き下ろしライナーノーツも収録。
