Cruisicとは、トラックメイカー岩田幸也とドラムス、パーカッション柿澤龍介から成る、ヒューマンドリブン・エレクトロニカ・バンドである。ソウルミュージックとラテンやジャズに、エレクトロニックを融合させたダンスミュージックを追求する。大学時代のジャズサークルで知り合い、個々の音楽活動を経て2013年冬に結成。2017年より現在の二人編成で活動しており、岩田の持つ広範なエレクトリック・ミュージックのバックグラウンドと、柿澤のポップス／ジャズフィールドの経験を直接繋ぎ、ポップでありながらも、リアルタイムかつダイナミックに変容する可能性を持ったダンスミュージックを追究している。
2018年9月、ブラジルのジャズ・ファンクトリオAzymuthによるブラジリアン・フュージョンの定番ともいえる “Jazz Carnival”を大胆なアレンジでカバーし、初となるアナログ・シングルをリリース。ミディアムテンポにアレンジし、ダンスミュージックとしてサンバとジャズの交点に着地させカバーしたこの作品は国内のラジオ番組やDJが取り上げただけではなく、UKのラジオ番組やMotion FMなど海外でも評価を受けた。
セカンド・リリースは言わずと知れたノルウェー・オスロのDJ/Producer、奇才Todd Terjeが2012年に発表し、以来世界中で大人気の名作”Inspector Norse”をカヴアー! 原曲の持つシンセポップ感を残しつつも、生演奏+シーケンスという、Cruisic独特の編成でリ・アレンジされ、よりファンキーかつドラマティックに仕上げられている。B-Side収録のSlowlyによるリミックスは彼らが得意とするレゲエ・フレイヴァーを散りばめたディスコ・レゲエ~バレアリックなアレンジとなっており、リリース前よりUKのWorld Wide FMで全世界にオンエアーされるなど注目の作品となった。

Cruisic is a human-driven electronica band. Cruisic fuses track maker Yukinari Iwata‘s electronic sound and Ryusuke Kakizawa‘s drum beat to pursue the possibilities of dance music, electronica and jazz.
Yukinari and Ryusuke first met during their school days, and after decades of individual activities, have formed Cruisic in year 2013, Winter.
Directly combining and linking Yukinar‘s broad range of electronic music background and Ryusuke‘s experiences in pop and jazz, Cruisic pursues dance music by dynamically enhancing and transforming their sound.
Cruisic released their first 7 inch single“Jazz Carnival" a cover of the classic Brazilian-fusion instrumental tune by the jazz funk trio Azymuth. Cruisic arranged the famous song into a medium dance tune where samba and jazz meet. The single has been well received internationally since its release, played by many radio stations and DJs both Japanese and overseas.
Cruisic's coming single covers "Inspector Norse" the world wide smash hit from year 2012 by Todd Terje, Norway's outstanding figure in modern disco music. Cruisic arranged "Inspector Norse" by fusing the original synth-pop texture with their unique electro-acoustic style to offer a funky and dramatic version of the song. The 7 inch single features Slowly's masterful reggae flavored Balearic-disco remix on the B-side. The single had been aired on World Wide FM prior to its release, receiving attention from numerous record shops and DJs.

前作"Floating"そして"Lady Dahlia"を収録した7インチ・アナログが、国内はもとより欧州を中心に海外でも高い評価を得たCruisic。実はその時すでにレコーディングしていた本楽曲を、いよいよ2022RSDにてリリースする運びとなりました。今回は80年代末期のマンチェスターで結成された伝説の808 Stateの代表曲として、更にはアンビエント・ハウス・シーンにも大きな影響を与え、今もなお色褪せない魅力を放つ大名曲、"Pacific"のカバーです。原曲に散りばめられた鳥の囀りをも再現しつつも、より現代の感覚にフィットするバレアリックなテンポ感とサウンドで展開し、Cruisicならではの生ドラムとシーケンスの融合により完成されたCruisic版"Pacific"です。B-Sideには4ビートにウッドベースで展開した新感覚の"4Beat Club Version"を収録。
本家が7インチ・リリースの際に命名したタイトル"Pacific-707"をも踏襲してのリリースです。
