山形県出身。民謡日本一に２度輝き、18歳で上京。音楽プロデューサーsolayaと出会い、動画サイト上で名曲を民謡調や山形弁にアレンジして歌唱、話題に。
2013年、自身の作詞・作曲による「東京」でデビュー。2015年には日本レコード大賞企画賞受賞。著名なアーティストのツアー、レコーディングへの参加も果たしている。
2020年ユニバーサルミュージックよりメジャーデビュー。第13回CDショップ大賞2021歌謡曲賞を受賞するなど快挙を成し遂げている。
CM出演10本以上、You Tube総再生回数3,000万回突破。
新しい音楽ジャンルの開拓、能楽堂や田んぼ公演など、様々な伝説を作ってきた新世代歌姫。
Artist Profile
Born in Yamagata city in Japan. Saya Asakura won the first prize in the Minyo Minbu Zenkoku Taikai twice in her childhood. Saya moved to Tokyo when she was 18 years old and met her producer, solaya. The uploaded videos, which she sings famous songs arranged in the style of Minyo and Yamagata dialect, became a topic of conversation. Saya debuted in 2013 with her original song “Tokyo” and she got the planning award of Japan Records Awards 2015. She has also worked with major artists in the studio and concert performances.
Saya made her major debut under Universal Music in 2020. She won the Kayokyoku award of the 13th CD Shop Awards 2021. Sha has also appeared in over 10 TV commercials and the total number of her YouTube videos has over 30 million views. Saya has opened a new area of music and performed at not only the Nohgakudo (a traditional Noh theater) but also a rice field. She is the one of new generation female singers who keep creating legends.

Information
Saya Asakura is a singer-songwriter who has a Minyo background (Japanese traditional folk music). Her gifted singing skills has attracted many people since her debut. She won the first prize in the Minyo Minbu Zenkoku Taikai twice. Across the genre, Saya has created the ablum “Kokinutashu -Future Trax Best-“(2020), which is a compilation of Future Trax songs, the mix of pop and Minyo song. The long-awaited vinyl is here!
